Charlie Cox’s Series “Kin” Renewed for Season Two

While scanning the internet for any news to do with Charlie, I found that KIN has been renewed for season two. So we’ll get more serious dysfunction from the Kinsella Clan. So Charlie will be very busy for the foreseeable future given his many Disney+ series as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and the upcoming TREASON, looks like Charlie will be with us for a long time to come.

Irish Crime Drama ‘Kin,’ From BRON Studios, Starts Production on Season 2 (EXCLUSIVE)

Irish crime drama “Kin” has begun rolling on Season 2, with production kicking off in Dublin last week.

Produced by BRON Studios and Headline Pictures, in association with Irish broadcaster RTÉ, “Kin” follows the Kinsella family, which is at the centre of gang warfare in Dublin. The series airs on AMC Networks in the U.S. and Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Spain and Portugal; Viaplay in Scandinavia; and NPO in Netherlands.

The returning cast includes Charlie Cox (“Daredevil”), Clare Dunne (“Herself”), Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”), Sam Keeley (“Joe vs Carole”), Emmett J. Scanlan (“Peaky Blinders”), Maria Doyle Kennedy (“Outlander”), and Yasmin Seky. Francis Magee has been upped to a series regular this season.

The new 8 x 60′ season will see the Kinsellas as the top dogs in Dublin but killing Eamon Cunningham has created as many problems as it solved. The family has incurred the wrath of an enemy even more dangerous than him, and the greatest threat to the family emerges from within, in the shape of a ruthless, bullying agent of chaos.

The show is supported by Screen Ireland. Peter McKenna (“The Last Kingdom,” “Red Rock”) is the series showrunner/executive producer, writer and creator. Episodic directors are Felix Thompson (“The Letter for the King”), and directing partners are Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (“Helen”), and Kate Dolan (“You Are Not My Mother”).

Executive producers on the series are BRON Studios’ David Davoli (“Ten Percent”), Samantha Thomas (“Jessica Jones”), Steven Thibault (“Pieces of a Woman”) and Aaron L. Gilbert (“Bombshell,” “Joker”), Headline Pictures’ Christian Baute (“Ten Percent”), Laurence Lenica and Franck Calderon, and Ciarán Donnelly (“Wheel of Time”), who is also the co-creator.

James Flynn (“Vikings”) is producing through his Metropolitan Films banner, with Emma Fleischer on as supervising producer and Gemma O’Shaugnessy as line producer. Dermot Horan and David Crean are executive producers for RTÉ and Andrew Byrne is executive producer for Screen Ireland.

BRON Releasing is handling worldwide sales.

Charlie Cox & Vincent D’Onofrio Officially Added to Marvel/Disney+ “Echo”

We finally have confirmation of Charlie and his DAREDEVIL co-star Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) being added to the Disney+/Marvel show ECHO. Not sure how many episodes both will be in, but we’ll be getting more Matt Murdock and Charlie Cox soon.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio Join Marvel Studios’ Echo on Disney+

Daredevil and the Kingpin have officially switched streamers.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have signed on for Disney+ series Echo. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the two stars of Daredevil will be making their official ensemble debut on the Marvel Studios television series starring Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.

Most recently D’Onofrio’s Kingpin was revealed as the big bad on Hawkeye and whose betrayal of Maya’s trust over killing her uncle resulted in a shootout that we all knew he’d survive. As per other reports, he’ll be returning with an eye patch and running for mayor. Matt Murdock on the other hand will be searching for one Jessica Jones as more of the old Marvel show crew gets wrangled into the MCU. Murdock was featured in a quick cameo as Peter Parker’s lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home. No word yet on any additional Defenders being brought back in but it’s honestly a matter of time right? Their shows have been added to the Disney+ platform with a mature audience rating, and the streamer just greenlit its own new season of Daredevil.

Echo is set to center on Hawkeye standout Maya Lopez as “her life in New York as a gang leader catches up with her as she returns to her hometown and reconnects with her Native American roots,” according to a release from Marvel Studios. With Kingpin having survived, there’s definitely going to be a round two between former familial associates. Sydney Freeland and Catriona McKenzie are on board as directors with Marion Dayre joining as head writer for the series.

The Marvel Studios show is set to debut in 2023 on Disney+.
