Charlie Cox on What The Red & Yellow Suit Will Mean to the Fans

Charlie addresses what the yellow and red suit will mean to the fans of DAREDEVIL.

Daredevil’s Charlie Cox Knew What the Gold and Red Suit Would Mean to Fans

Charlie Cox shares his emotional response to learning he would be wearing an iconic Daredevil costume in She-Hulk, knowing how fans would react.

Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, revealed he knows exactly what the gold and red suit would mean to fans the moment he saw the designs.

Cox shared in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes at D23 that he first saw the new outfit when he was preparing to play Matt Murdock/Daredevil for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His MCU debut, which was a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home where Matt Murdock served as Peter Parker’s lawyer, did not call for a new Daredevil costume, but he is set to appear as the vigilante in an upcoming episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. “So I had to go to LA to have a fitting, and I walk in – I can say this now – I walk in. I knew I wasn’t going to wear it in [Spider-Man: No Way Home], I knew that much, but whilst we were doing Spider-Man we were getting ready to do She-Hulk, and so I got to go to LA to a fitting, and I walk in and the suit is hanging there. But then there’s a drawing on the wall and it has the gold and red.”

Cox shared that he instantly knew that that version of the costume would mean a lot to fans. “And I was like ‘no way,'” Cox laughed. “It’s funny because when you play the character this long, it’s like you’re emotionally connected to the fans’ response. So you see something like that and it means something to you, because you know what it means – what it’s going to mean,” he said.

Cox has been playing Daredevil since 2015, with a brief break between 2018, when Daredevil was canceled by Netflix, and his MCU debut in 2021. “Like, you start to have a sense of how people are going to respond to that. So I saw that, and then they come in with that, and I’m like ‘aw man, this is unreal’.”

The MCU is set to keep Cox busy for the next few years, as he will follow up his guest appearances in No Way Home and She-Hulk with the Echo series in 2023, and the Disney+ reboot of Daredevil, subtitled Born Again, which is set to premiere in 2024. He will also lend his voice to the animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are streaming on Disney+ every Thursday.

Charlie Cox Talks “She-Hulk” Flirting On Rooftop

Charlie has confirmed he will be in only one episode of SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW. Here he discusses some flirting he’ll be doing with Tatiana Maslany’s character Jennifer Walters, also known as She-Hulk.

‘She-Hulk’ and Daredevil Flirt in New D23 Exclusive Clip

Who knew listening to someone’s heartbeat could be so charming?

Ever since it was announced that we would get the return of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil aka Matt Murdock, MCU fans have been clamoring for a look at our favorite man without fear. Cox and his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio appeared on stage with Kevin Feige this weekend at D23 Expo to give fans a bit of a preview. While Cox’s series is a longer 18 episode season, the show has not started shooting yet so there was no new footage for the Disney fans at the Anaheim Convention Center.

But, instead of looking into the distant future, Marvel delivered a taste of something that we will hopefully be watching soon. Before leaving the stage, Kevin Feige informed the audience that they would get to watch an exclusive clip from an upcoming episode of She-Hulk featuring Daredevil.

So far, what we’ve seen of She-Hulk does not contain Matt Murdock, however with the release of the new mid-season trailer, it seems as if not only will Matt be sharing a drink with Jen, but he’ll also be delivering some helpful advice. In the trailer, he tells her, “I think you’re in a unique position to do some real good. Jen Walters can use the law to help people when society fails them. She-Hulk can help people when the law fails them.” Obviously, Matt is in a similar position as a lawyer himself. He uses the law to help people and when that is not good enough, he can don his red suit and pursue the villains at night.

In the exclusive clip shown at D23, the pair do just that. We push in on Matt and Jen on a rooftop at night. Jen is in some helpfully stretchy clothes but still just Jen, while Matt is in full costume. His new suit sports a yellow and red look, one that is a bit more comics-accurate. The two converse on the rooftop about the difference between goons and henchmen. Apparently, according to Matt, henchmen are there for the cause, whereas goons are just there for the paycheck. Matt quickly susses out that there’s 25 goons in the building. When Jen snorts at the idea of Matt hearing people’s heartbeats, he quickly demonstrates the ability on her.

“I can hear yours too. Your heart’s beating pretty fast,” he tells her, and we’re definitely picking up a vibe from this moment. Mesmerized by either his ability or his charm (or both), Jen stares at Matt for longer than a few seconds before shaking herself out of it. With that done, Matt briskly tells her that he will swoop in and take out a handful of the goons, calculating that it will take him about 15 seconds for each goon, so Jen can just wait for him on the roof. Of course, Jen opposes, not wanting to wait half an hour (“That’s not how that math works,” says Matt) and instead wanting to just smash her way through as a Hulk.

Matt retorts, “Because they have weapons, Jennifer.” “Yeah, good thing She-Hulk is indestructible, Matthew,” she shoots back. But, as the more experienced of the two, Matt wants to opt for stealth, obviously, that is where his strength lies. He reminds her that he’s done this before but Jen just tells him that she is the one with the superpowers. They banter back and forth with Matt joking that he has “echolocation.” Giving up on leaving Jen behind, Matt tells her simply to follow his lead before he leaps off of a building and, presumably, gracefully and quietly enters into the building. Even Jen can admit that is pretty cool.

While we don’t get to see how exactly the attack on the warehouse goes, I think we can surmise from the clip that it will, at the very least, be entertaining, if not successful. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock feels very familiar, however the humor, which rarely appeared in his own original Netflix show, is something new. The snappy back and forth between him and Jen actually feels very natural. Whether his own series will have this same brand of Marvel humor is still up in the air. Until then, we’ll enjoy Matt Murdock where we can get him, even if he is only in one episode!

Charlie Cox’s Series “Kin” Renewed for Season Two

While scanning the internet for any news to do with Charlie, I found that KIN has been renewed for season two. So we’ll get more serious dysfunction from the Kinsella Clan. So Charlie will be very busy for the foreseeable future given his many Disney+ series as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and the upcoming TREASON, looks like Charlie will be with us for a long time to come.

Irish Crime Drama ‘Kin,’ From BRON Studios, Starts Production on Season 2 (EXCLUSIVE)

Irish crime drama “Kin” has begun rolling on Season 2, with production kicking off in Dublin last week.

Produced by BRON Studios and Headline Pictures, in association with Irish broadcaster RTÉ, “Kin” follows the Kinsella family, which is at the centre of gang warfare in Dublin. The series airs on AMC Networks in the U.S. and Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Spain and Portugal; Viaplay in Scandinavia; and NPO in Netherlands.

The returning cast includes Charlie Cox (“Daredevil”), Clare Dunne (“Herself”), Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”), Sam Keeley (“Joe vs Carole”), Emmett J. Scanlan (“Peaky Blinders”), Maria Doyle Kennedy (“Outlander”), and Yasmin Seky. Francis Magee has been upped to a series regular this season.

The new 8 x 60′ season will see the Kinsellas as the top dogs in Dublin but killing Eamon Cunningham has created as many problems as it solved. The family has incurred the wrath of an enemy even more dangerous than him, and the greatest threat to the family emerges from within, in the shape of a ruthless, bullying agent of chaos.

The show is supported by Screen Ireland. Peter McKenna (“The Last Kingdom,” “Red Rock”) is the series showrunner/executive producer, writer and creator. Episodic directors are Felix Thompson (“The Letter for the King”), and directing partners are Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (“Helen”), and Kate Dolan (“You Are Not My Mother”).

Executive producers on the series are BRON Studios’ David Davoli (“Ten Percent”), Samantha Thomas (“Jessica Jones”), Steven Thibault (“Pieces of a Woman”) and Aaron L. Gilbert (“Bombshell,” “Joker”), Headline Pictures’ Christian Baute (“Ten Percent”), Laurence Lenica and Franck Calderon, and Ciarán Donnelly (“Wheel of Time”), who is also the co-creator.

James Flynn (“Vikings”) is producing through his Metropolitan Films banner, with Emma Fleischer on as supervising producer and Gemma O’Shaugnessy as line producer. Dermot Horan and David Crean are executive producers for RTÉ and Andrew Byrne is executive producer for Screen Ireland.

BRON Releasing is handling worldwide sales.

“She Hulk: Attorney at Law” Daredevil Reveal Trailer

We finally get a bigger reveal of Charlie Cox back as DAREDEVIL in the SHE HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW teaser. It’s still very short and we also finally get a better view of the new suit. Gotta say it’s close to the Netflix version, but I truly hope they’re not going to yuck him up. What I mean is I loved the subtle humour of the Netflix show as well as the dead seriousness of it. So far I’m hopeful. How about you?

Charlie Shows Up in “She Hulk: Attorney at Law” Official Teaser Trailer

A ton of news on Charlie out of SDCC2022. The first is the official appearance of Charlie in SHE HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW teaser trailer for Disney+. In the trailer we see he’s wearing a new costume. Gotta say I’m a little nervous about this. I so loved the costume and cowl he had in the original Netflix version so much as it seemed more practical in terms of the kind of those it was. Anyway the trailer is below. I’ve also screencapped his brief scene and those are in the gallery.
